Zed Mitchell has the ability to play every string of a guitar with a personal touch. Thus, the string wizard lets his instrument sometimes rock, then again sound virtuosic or weave melancholic soundscapes.

When Zed Mitchell plays, blues music sounds with an inspiring facet. His 5 octave voice makes him a top class singer. He is one of the best guitarists in Europe. And looks back on over 23 released albums as a composer and songwriter.

Zed Mitchell owes the fact that he was able to develop his own musical language to the encounters and work on projects from this time as a studio musician. Many outstanding producers such as Malcolm Luker or the film composer Nick Glennie-Smith, in turn the right hand of the two-time Oscar winner Hans Zimmer, accompanied him on his way and led to a constant further development of his nimble finger playing and the sensitive way to elicit certain, set tones from the strings of the guitar. Artists like Eros Ramazotti or Natalie Cole appreciated these skills and booked the string wizard for their studio recordings.

German stars also love Zed Mitchell's outstanding playing. Mitchell celebrated one of his greatest successes with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, for which he recorded all acoustic and electric guitars and whose CD sold more than a million copies. He is proud to have been immortalized with his guitar playing on the soundtrack of the blockbuster Indiana Jones or as a support act with his band for world stars such as Joe Cocker, Santana and B.B.  King.
