Mike Sponza - The Masterclass

 

Mike Sponza is known for his distinctive style that combines blues, soul, rock and jazz and has been on the European blues scene since the early 90s. Mike is a big fan of collaboration and in his career has made music, tours and albums with Duke Robillard, Dana Gillespie, Georgie Fame, Lucky Peterson, Bob Margolin, Ian Siegal and Nico Wayne Toussaint.

 

His 2018 album "Made In The Sixties": co-written with the legendary late songwriter Pete Brown and produced at Abbey Road Studios, the album is the Italian bluesman's personal homage to the sixties.

 

Mike Sponza is currently back in the studio to present two more albums this year. Mike Sponza is a highly talented musician who can move stylistically in many genres without losing the flair of the blues.

JUMP ACES are:

 

Marco Meucci (piano and vocals) Boogie in his hands and a voice that leaves a mark. Alex Angelucci (guitar) is a reference point for jump blues guitar and beyond.

 

Ivano Sebastianelli (bass and vocals) plays practically everything that has to do with boogie, rock 'n' roll and blues and does not disdain excursions into jump and swing.

 

Lorenzo Francocci (drums and vocals) the energy of 30 years with endless talent.

Since forming his first band in 2014, he has built a reputation as a world-class frontman, harmonica player, singer, songwriter and bandleader, collecting 18 Washington Blues Society's "Best of the Blues" awards in just a few short years.

 

Joel signed with Blue Heart Records earlier this year and is also a featured artist on Lee Oskar Harmonicas.

 

His first album "Seattle to Greaseland" has been highly praised by blues critics around the world and has received rave reviews.

 

It debuted (August 18, 2023) at #7 on the Billboard blues charts and was awarded a silver medal at the Global Music Awards.

 

Joel Astley can be heard on several recordings, has been featured on radio, podcasts and television and can be seen live with his band throughout the year.

Sister Lucille hails from southwest Missouri and is deeply inspired by the musical heritage of Memphis. She has turned the worlds of blues, roots and soul upside down and created her own genre - Memphunk!

Her album Alive won the 2020 Blues Blast Award for Best Debut CD and also received three Independent Blues Award nominations in the categories of Best New Artist CD, Best Soul-Blues Artist and Best Contemporary Blues Song.

 

With her latest album, "Tell The World," Kimberly Dill aka Sister Lucille spans a wide musical range from Blues, Roots, Soul Funk and Rock'n'Roll in all its variations.

Dyer Davis is an American singer/guitarist who has just released his debut album on Wild Roots Records.

 

He has spent the last 8 years of his young life as a rock musician and recently parted ways with the band Rubber Soul Child. Now, at 23, he has returned to the music that first inspired him to become a musician. As a child, his father, also a musician, got him hooked on the music of the '60s and '70s. The artists that appealed to him the most were the blues-based rockers, especially the early Jeff Beck records with Rod Stewart. This conveyed to him the importance of the blues as the main foundation for the music he gravitated to. Blues, rock and soul are the pillars of his music, with which Dyer Davis appeals to both the "old" and the new generation of blues.

 

In Europe Dyer is currently still a real insider tip, but this young man should be on the focus!

 

His debut album is highly appreciated in the trade press all over Europe and we are happy to present him for the European market.

The Blues Groovers consist of bassist Tony Gullage (Henry Butler, Dr. John), Hammond B3 player Brandon Adams (Kenny Neal), guitarist Carlton Ross, saxophonist Roderick Jackson (Kenny Neal) and drummer Mac Carter (Jon Cleary).
