A new band has appeared on the Spanish rock-blues horizon in 2022: MONTANA STOMP

 

Montana Stomp is a band made up of musicians from Aragon and Valencia. The band and frontwoman Susana Colt are on 70s territory and combine blues, hard rock and southern rock in an absolutely masterful way - an absolute delight!

 

Susana is a real talent that every promoter should keep in mind. Her voice is simply magnificent and

 

goes straight to the heart. She has Etta James tattooed on her hand, but she could also have the singer inside her.

 

So far the band has rocked some really great concerts, for example at the International Blues Festival in Cerdanyola, at the AldeaRock Festival, at the XXX Bourbon Festival Zaragoza (RocknBlues), in the Sala Wolf, in the Sala Nazca and at a few concerts abroad, such as the Stetson and Bourbon Festival and the Southern Rock and Blues Kolin in the Czech Republic.  Their eponymous album “Montana Stomp” (2022) was highly praised in the trade press and is a debut that will blow you away!

Anthony Geraci is an American blues and jazz pianist, organist, singer and composer.

 

The keyboardist, who has been active for more than 40 years, has played on stage with Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Otis Rush, Chuck Berry, Big Mama Thornton, Big Joe Turner and Jimmy Rogers. He has recorded with Big Walter Horton, Ronnie Earl, Big Jack Johnson, Zora Young, Sugaray Rayford, Debbie Davies and Kenny Neal. Geraci has not only collaborated with other musicians, but has also released eight albums under his own name.

 

He is an original member of Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters and Sugar Ray & the Bluetones.

 

Geraci has performed at many festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), the North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands) and the Montreal International Jazz Festival (Canada).

MIKE SPONZA

 

Mike Sponza is known for his unmistakable style, which combines blues, soul, rock and jazz. He has been on the European blues scene since the early 90s. Mike enjoys working with other musicians.

 

In his career he has already made music, tours and albums with Duke Robillard, Dana Gillespie, Georgie Fame, Lucky Peterson, Bob Margolin, Ian Siegal and Nico Wayne Toussaint. His 2018 album “Made In The Sixties” is the Italian bluesman's personal homage to the sixties.

 

It was co-written with the legendary, now deceased songwriter Pete Brown and produced at Abbey Road Studios. Mike Sponza is currently back in the studio to present two more albums this year. Mike Sponza is a highly talented musician who moves stylistically in many genres without losing sight of the blues.20

Introducing the YOUNG WILD OF BLUES:

 

Dyer Davis is an absolutely exceptional artist! The American singer and guitarist released his magnificent debut album on Wild Roots Records in 2023.

 

He has spent the last eight years of his young life as a rock musician and recently split from the band Rubber Soul Child to finally hit the ground running again!

 

Now, at 23, he's returned to the music that first inspired him to become a musician - and that's a damn good thing! Thanks to his father, also a musician, he discovered the music of the 60s and 70s as a child - a passion that never left him! The artists that inspired him the most were the incredible blues-based rockers, especially the early Jeff Beck records with Rod Stewart - simply fantastic!

 

This realization was key for him, as it made him understand the immense importance of the blues as the main foundation for the music he was drawn to. Blues, rock and soul are the pillars of his music, with which Dyer Davis appeals to both the “old” and the new generation of blues.

Since forming his first band in 2014, he has built a reputation as a world-class frontman, harmonica player, singer, songwriter and bandleader, collecting 18 Washington Blues Society's "Best of the Blues" awards in just a few short years.

 

Joel signed with Blue Heart Records earlier this year and is also a featured artist on Lee Oskar Harmonicas.

 

His first album "Seattle to Greaseland" has been highly praised by blues critics around the world and has received rave reviews.

 

It debuted (August 18, 2023) at #7 on the Billboard blues charts and was awarded a silver medal at the Global Music Awards.

 

Joel Astley can be heard on several recordings, has been featured on radio, podcasts and television and can be seen live with his band throughout the year.
