Anthony  Geraci ist ein US-amerikanischer Blues- und Jazzpianist, Organist, Sänger und Komponist.

 

Er ist zweifacher Blues Music Award Gewinner (BMA’s) Instrumentalist-Piano/ Pinetop Perkins Piano Award. Er hat 17 persönliche Blues Music Awards und über 40 BMA’s mit anderen Künstlern wie Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters (original Mitglied), Sugar Ray and the Bluetones (orginal Mitglied), Monster Mike Welch, Mike Leadbetter und den Proven Ones.

 

In seiner über 40-jährigen Karriere hat Geraci die Bühne mit legendären Musikern wie Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Otis Rush, Chuck Berry und Big Mama Thornton geteilt. Er hat zahlreiche Aufnahmen gemacht mit hochkarätigen Künstlern wie Kenny Neal, Odetta, Big Walter Horton, John Primer, Bob Corritore, Tas Cru, Debbie Davis, Radio Kings, Duke Robillard and the Pleasure Kings, Otis Grand und vielen mehr.

 

 

Das Album Super Harps (1999) (Telarc) bekam eine Nominierung für einen Grammy. Er spielte an der Seite von James Cotton, Charle Musselwhite, Billy Branch und Sugar Ray Norcia.

 

Sein von der Kritik hochgelobte Veröffentlichung „Fifty Shades of Blues“ (Delta Groove Records) von 2015 urde mehrfach für den Blues Music Award nominiert (Bester Song, Bestes Album und Bestes traditionelles Blues-Album). Es wurde vom Living Blues Magazine als eine der 50 besten Blues-Aufnahmen des Jahres 2015 eingestuft und erhielt eine 4-Sterne-Bewertung im Downbeat Magazine.

 

2019 erhielt „Why Did You Have To Go“ (Shining Stone) Nominierungen für den Blues Music Award in den Kategorien Album of the Year, Traditional Album of the Year, Song of the Year (Angelina, Angelina), sowie Einzel-Nominierungen: Pinetop Perkins Piano Award, noch nie dagewesene sechs persönliche Nominierungen!

 

Im Jahr 2021 gewann Anthony den Instrumentalist-Piano-Blues Music Award. Er gewann den Preis erneut im Jahr 2023.

 

"Tears In My Eyes", das brandneue Album des zweifachen Blues Music Award-Gewinners, folgt auf seine hochgelobte erste Veröffentlichung bei Blue Heart Records, „Blues Called My Name“, die auf Platz 1 der Living Blues Radio Charts debütierte.

 

Ingesamt hat der Anthony Geraci 9 Album zurzeit veröffentlich. Geraci gilt als einer der besten Contemporary blues und Jazz Musiker unserer Zeit.
