Sister Lucille hails from southwest Missouri and is inspired by the musical heritage of Memphis. She has turned the worlds of blues, roots and soul upside down and created her own genre - Memphunk!
The band's musical genes run wide and deep. Frontwoman Kimberly Dill and her band present their own greedy sound in a variety of directions deeply rooted in the blues.
From lead singer Kimberly Dill's Opry debut at the Ryman Auditorium as a teenager opening for the legendary Kitty Wells to the band's Beale Street debut in 2014, the Springfield, MO-based quartet breathes blues, soul blues, funk and Americana, stirs it with the soul of gospel and colors it with a touch of country to form a sound that is distinctly American but universal in its appeal. Dill and Jamie Holdren (guitar/vocals) are both second-generation musicians, and their shared musical DNA fuels the fire of Sister Lucille.
Their 2019 debut album Alive held the Top 50 Blues-Rock Albums chart for an astounding 22 consecutive months, with all 11 songs spending multiple months in the Top 50 Blues-Rock Songs chart, and finished the year at #10 on the Top 200 Year-End Blues-Rock Charts of 2020.
Three songs from "Alive" became staples on SIrius/XM's Bluesville, and the album won the 2020 Blues Blast Award for Best Debut CD and also received three Independent Blues Award nominations for Best New Artist CD, Best Soul Blues Artist and Best Contemporary Blues Song. "Gone," the follow-up single the band released in late 2020, was featured in the January/February 2021 issue of Relix magazine and has been played by every top blues radio program in the U.S., proving that Sister Lucille's patented Memphunk sound is here to stay.
Sister Lucille is still an insider's tip in Europe.
From now on, the rest of the world can also experience Sister Lucille and her music on stage. A band that will not be forgotten so quickly!

ALIVE is a very personal statement of soul, blues, funk and southern rock - music for the soul and for any tricky life situation....
The perfect quarantine soundtrack!
bluesnews , Germany (2019)
Modern blues with sultry vocals, melodic guitar riffs and groovy rhythm section.... a very good album
BLUES MATTERS!
Undeniably expressive vocals and guitar licks straight out of the Steve Cropper playbook. Don't mind the splashes from the grease fires of fat funk groove that occasionally flare up in this bluesy soul kitchen, ALIVE is a master class at making all the machinery work seamlessly.
ELMORE MAGAZINE
Led by the proverbial little girl with the big voice, this soulful blues rock band knows how to deliver a big, fat sound made to keep the party going all night. With their spiritual roots in show band territory, their sound and fury is on point throughout. A hard-hitting set that's good to the last drop.
