KRIS POHLMANN – “XV Tour” 2022-2023

Celebrating 15 years of live music

 

2022 is a big year for Black Penny Records artist KRIS POHLMANN. It’s 15 years since the then young blues-rock hopeful played his first blues-session in Topos blues club in Leverkusen.  That night changed everything for the young guitarist, who would go on to front his own power trio. Over the next 15 years KRIS POHLMANN would go on to play hundreds of concerts, headline festivals throughout Europe and release five critically acclaimed albums including the most recent LP ‘Feel Like Going Home’ from 2018.

 

To celebrate this milestone the award-winning guitarist/singer/song-writer is touring all over Europe, where he is renowned for his high energy, sweaty and endlessly entertaining shows. KRIS POHLMANN  has built up a loyal fan base across Europe. With Freddie King, Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher and Status Quo as his biggest influences, KRIS POHLMANN concerts are guaranteed to bring explosive blues-rock. The live show features Jonas Bareiter on bass and Roman Dönicke on drums.

 

KRIS POHLMANN

Kris was born in England in 1977 and moved to Germany when he was 22. His first album ‘New Resolution’ was released in 2009. ‘One For Sorrow’ (2012) won 6 German Blues awards in the process (including ‘Best Album’, ‘Best Song’, ‘Best Singer’, ‘Best Band’ for the album ‘One For Sorrow’) His 2015 release ‘Taylor Road’ received worldwide acclaim and was a top 10 charting blues-rock album in Germany. ’10 Years Live’ his first live album was released in 2016. ‘Feel Like Going Home’, his 5th album was released in 2018. A new studio album is planned for late 2023.
