The time seems to have passed by, as to the music of Count Basie and Louis Jordan unrestrainedly hopped over there and Jitterbug was danced semi-hard musicians brewed a new drug called "Be-Bop" in dim backrooms of dodgy spikes; Germ cells of a new youth culture.

The heroes of those years played their instruments wildly and cleverly as the soundtrack of a new way of life; The Jump Blues flourished in the decade from 1945 to 1954 between black swing and hearty rhythm and blues and today is considered the forefather of early rock on roll.

The band Stu & The Big Jump is with musicians from the Bielefelder,

The Dortmund and Cologne jazz scene was top-class and in 1994 began to proselytize in the new spirit of the old days.

In addition to tours to southern France, the trip to England with a performance at the legendary 'Club 100' in London and on the Swing Jive Weekender in Great Yarmouth is certainly one of the highlights to date. Through the symbiosis of enthusiasm, discipline and contemporary appearance, the band developed within a short time to a popular act predominantly traditional jazz clubs throughout Germany.

The Admiralspalast in Berlin, the well-known festivals in Burghausen, Gronau and Wettenberg and the Jazzrally Dusseldorf did not resist the charm of this unfortunately too long neglected playing style of jazz and could always rely on frontwoman Kerstin Belz and the six musicians, if that's what it is about went to turn a club into a dancehall of bygone times!
